ABOUT
Jessica Hernández is an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning Editor whose work ranges from prestigious series to thought-provoking documentaries, captivating features, and innovative advertising. From the psychological film noir Knox Goes Away to the dynamic series Winning Time to the social commentary of Colin in Black and White, Jessica's artistic voice and perspective uniquely craft stories of all genres and formats. Her commercial work also includes a Gatorade tribute honoring Serena Williams, narrated by Beyoncé.
Over the course of her career, she has had the pleasure of working with some of the most prolific and talented directors in filmmaking today, including Adam McKay, Ava DuVernay, Michael Keaton, and Robert Rodriguez.
Jessica is a proud member of American Cinema Editors (ACE) and has garnered many noteworthy accolades, starting as a Film Independent Fellow mentored by acclaimed director Leslie Linka Glatter. She then went on to receive a Peabody Award and nominations for Best Editing and the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival for her work on Bhutto. Recently, she won an Emmy for her editing on A Black Lady Sketch Show, a historic win for an all-women of color editing team.
